Church is about more than Sunday meetings.
At Summit Bible Center, we welcome people from all walks of life. We celebrate the unique experiences and qualities of our members and believe we are better for those differences. Many people we have encountered have varied experiences with church participation, as the definition of church varies among various denominations and groups. For instance, some people see church as little more than a place of worship where people attend once a week or on major holidays. For others, church may be an organized social gathering. Others may see it as a waste of time or a place of hurt and disappointment. Church means many different things for different people, but we would like to tell you about what it means to us.
For us, church is a place that feels like home. It’s where people can come to know Jesus Christ, discover community, find comfort, be challenged, and experience true change. It’s about what you bring as well as what you gain from being in a community of believers who support one another and do not judge others or elevate their knowledge and traditions above the Word of God. Church is about the life you lead by studying the scriptures and applying its teachings so that one day you can give an account of your life before Christ and know you have done whatever it takes.
